Produced by Hitman Bang (Bang Shi Hyuk), SeeU’s voice was provided by memberDaheeof Big Hit Entertainment‘s upcoming girl group, GLAM.
A demo of her official song, “I=Fantasy“, was revealed online on August 30th. SeeU comes with Korean and Japanese voice banks and will be out in the Korean and Japanese market by October this year.
The fact that she’s a third generation Vocaloid artist means she has the new 03 engine franchise (tentatively due for release this month), an exciting piece of news for Vocaloid enthusiasts. Overall, it sure makes for an interesting promotional tactic for GLAM in particular, adding anticipation for their debut. ”
Hi guys! I’m back with a video and entry to give prospective Kagamine Rin/Len cosplayers an insight into the making of the default Vocaloid costume.
This is NOT a tutorial entry but I’ll try to give as much tips as I can and hope you guys like it. Here goes!

The Headphone
My headphone was graciously made by Yuanie who was my Kagamine Len. And she had a method quite different from Inuran’s.
My Kagamine Rin headphones is NOT done using this method. But you might wanna check Inuran’s method out if you’re interested.
It is done with a normal hairband as a base. The earpads are primarily made with cardboard and white foam. The coloured parts are mostly either coloured paper or vinyl tapes.
Body of the microphone is made with bendable wires and wrapped with white vinyl tape while the tip itself is made by coiling white foam around the wire and sealing everything up with vinyl tape again.
You can attach the ribbon to the hairband by gluing it directly. Or you can do it like me, attaching the ribbons to 2 ( I used 2 for security) rubber band and then tying it onto the hairband. Whichever method you prefer would work fine.
I chose to attach the ribbon to the hairband with rubber bands because I wanted it to be flexible. So if I ever want to use the hairband for other purpose, I can.
The Arm warmers
The arm warmers are done with a very straight forward pattern which I’ll cover that in the future. The LCD patterns on the arm warmer are created with black foam and green velvet cloth. I stuck them on to the Arm warmers with double sided tape, which is a bad choice ^^;
A small tip for those who are having problem acquiring thick black foam. An alternative is to snip them from any old foam mouse pads. They work just as remarkably and you’re helping the environment! ha-ha.
The Belt
The belt is basically a cloth tube with the edges sewed in. For the triangles, we cut a bunch of diamonds from some yellow velvet and stuck them on to the fabric tube with fabric glue. According to Yuanie, you can use white glue too.
I did my costume in a rush so please don’t mind the ugly stitches =\
The Costume
The costume is just a simple sailor fuku kind of top without sleeves. The more confusing portion would be the musical note on the chest area. It is done by tracing the note on the back of a piece of velvet and then cutting it out. We then stuck the note on to the costume with fabric glue.
My pants are just store bought black shorts.

I have the bad habit of leaving the music on whenever and wherever, as long as I can have it on. Sometimes I don't really even listen but I just need something to block out the distractions. My favourite song of that period would dominate my playlist and be on infinite loop. This is the song at the moment. Hahaa !
It's queer how when Reiko first pimped this same video to me long time ago, I didn't really bother much with it. But after listening to Barushie's version, I'm totally hook. Gotta love these fansingers.
And Touya Hibiki has got to be my new Cosplay Idol (if not first). She looks really good here! And she really does look like a guy/boy here @_@ It's so unfair! How can someone look so good in both genders! God is unfair!

The lyrics are profound, but I could relate a lot to Akiakane's interpretation. Watching it stirred all my bottled chaotic emotions. A girl who tries, who makes mistakes, who fails, but who will never stop, losing herself in the midst, exerting her extreme limit, wounds started to surface and to the point she wanted to stop breathing. (And a guy came to save her but of course, a fairytale ending is always nice D:) There were many effects and transitions in the original PV, if I have not watched it frame by frame, all the little nitty-gritty wonders would've been missed. The more I looked into it, more I appreciate all the hard efforts put in. The original PV affected me mentally, and inspired me technically. I think Peggy did a fabulous job editing and animating. Yes, the post processing and video/animation editing is done by the Hatsune Miku Cosplayer; Peggy. Both of them look really lovey dovey here and the style of the animation is really adorable xD! Oh, did I mention that peggy did the post processing and animation single handedly?
Oops, just felt the need to highlight that in case you guys didn’t notice. Don’t mind me, its just my personal issue. Feeling a bit upset nobody seemed to notice Kaika was also the animator/video editor for the Just Be Friends Cosplay PV. Ahh maaaa *fans self*.

It felt strangely refreshing to cosplay a fairly new and unknown character. i mean, Skip Beat! Hasn't quite caught on in Singapore yet so its still relatively unknown to people outside the community.
Nonetheless, its still awesome to be doing a character I truly liked =D! And I feel truly delighted every time someone asks for a picture!! It felt kinda like cosplay was a first time to me again =) I'd even go to the extend of asking people who requested for photos with me, whether they know what series I was cosing from XDDDD!!!!
That said, I find it a little queer how Skip Beat! doesn't seem to see as much love in the asian continents as much as it does in the western. Is it because of its too plain costume ? *shrug*

So let me begin my report *cough*
So yours truly was soooooo freakin tired from saturday's standing and late night costume rushing, I only woke up at 11plus. (Yeah, totally missed Kaname's presentation =X ) And set out to do my ' Anime Quiz' props till 2pm. Hailed a cab down town, cooped myself up in the ladies changing till 4pm.
Yes, 4pm, I have a history of doing that *resigned and melancholy sigh*
And OMG, I had thought Saturday was already super crowded but Sunday was WAY WORSE!!!! Level 3 was totally swarmed! I think I've never seen that place so packed before O_O'''
Dan, Ying and Cvy cosplaying as Alice in Wonderland steampunk version.
The main highlight of the day for me was my anime quiz ! I had tediously put together a file of 10 anime questions for people to answer and juge how high they fare in their Otaku-ness. I managed to get 8 very gamely cosplayers to play with me, watch their complied videos below!
Oh, highly recommended for you to play the game along with us and test your own otaku level xD
Hahaha, I found it amusing how you can totally tell the generation the cosplayer was from just by his/her answer =X.
It was actually kinda awkward trying to start the game because I don't think anyone has done this in SG before and I had a lot of hesitations. Which was the biggest reason why I only did the prop on the day of the event itself. I went to bed telling myself I’m not gonna do this nonsense but…. as you can tell, I’m a VERY fickle minded person >. < U And the project proves to be a killer for the video editor (fyi me). My program hung so many tiems while doing this=_=U

Anyway, they are the only pair that scored the highest without any external help xD I was really surprised at how easily they flew through the entire quiz xD!!!
The absolutely kawaii Shugo Chara group! I think I half forced them to join me hahaha poor things =X We had accidentally crossed path while i was on my way to meet another friend at level 4 when one of them called out to me and insisted on a photo with me (skip beat! fan yaysss \^o^ /!!)

So you've all seen the awesome PV inuran and Zerartul came up with in my last few posts. Now, get a change in perspective and look at the making of it!
To get the best footages, inuran and team actually re-shot everything 3 times. THREE TIMES OMFG!!!!!!!! Imagine, lugging your costumes, tripods, cameras , make up box, misc photoshoot stuffs out of the house 3 times on 3 seperate days for the SAME PURPOSE/SONG!!!!!!
These videos were taken on the first shoot, which was on a very early saturday morning. You'd notice the abnormally bad video quality and that was because yours truly totally FORGOT to bring her camera that day! I was supposed to help our Miku with her makeup that day so I kinda only remembered to bring the Make Up box and rushed out T_T.
Left without a choice, I could only film with my crappy mobile phone camera T_T. Very disappointed with myself and the quality of the video but.... oh well at least we have some behind the scene footages. Hope you guys enjoy it! Editing the video and adding those subtitles was a chore!
After nearly months of planning, storyboarding, filming and RE-filming. Our WCS 2008 Singapore representative; Inuran is finally done with her Love is War PV.
Pardon me if I am wrong, but this is the first full PV I've seen done by a local.
Gotta love the insanely high definition (imho la ;x) and cool special effects treatment. Of course, not taking credits away from our lovely leek heroine and her lovely costumes.
I'm pointing my fingers at her Megaphone dudes. Check it out! Love the perfect finishing and the accuracy of the colour.

I think Peggy did a fabulous job editing and animating. Yes, the post processing and video/animation editing is done by the Hatsune Miku Cosplayer; Peggy. Both of them look really lovey dovey here and the style of the animation is really adorable xD! Oh, did I mention that peggy did the post processing and animation single handedly?
Oops, just felt the need to highlight that in case you guys didn’t notice. Don’t mind me, its just my personal issue. Feeling a bit upset nobody seemed to notice Kaika was also the animator/video editor for the Just Be Friends Cosplay PV. Ahh maaaa *fans self*.
Updates have been slowing down again. Mostly because I’m in some sort of cosplay low tide. These days I just feel like melting into my chair and watch videos on youtube till my eyes burn out. It felt strangely refreshing to cosplay a fairly new and unknown character. i mean, Skip Beat! Hasn't quite caught on in Singapore yet so its still relatively unknown to people outside the community.
Nonetheless, its still awesome to be doing a character I truly liked =D! And I feel truly delighted every time someone asks for a picture!! It felt kinda like cosplay was a first time to me again =) I'd even go to the extend of asking people who requested for photos with me, whether they know what series I was cosing from XDDDD!!!!
That said, I find it a little queer how Skip Beat! doesn't seem to see as much love in the asian continents as much as it does in the western. Is it because of its too plain costume ? *shrug*

So let me begin my report *cough*
So yours truly was soooooo freakin tired from saturday's standing and late night costume rushing, I only woke up at 11plus. (Yeah, totally missed Kaname's presentation =X ) And set out to do my ' Anime Quiz' props till 2pm. Hailed a cab down town, cooped myself up in the ladies changing till 4pm.
Yes, 4pm, I have a history of doing that *resigned and melancholy sigh*
And OMG, I had thought Saturday was already super crowded but Sunday was WAY WORSE!!!! Level 3 was totally swarmed! I think I've never seen that place so packed before O_O'''

The main highlight of the day for me was my anime quiz ! I had tediously put together a file of 10 anime questions for people to answer and juge how high they fare in their Otaku-ness. I managed to get 8 very gamely cosplayers to play with me, watch their complied videos below!
Oh, highly recommended for you to play the game along with us and test your own otaku level xD
Hahaha, I found it amusing how you can totally tell the generation the cosplayer was from just by his/her answer =X.
It was actually kinda awkward trying to start the game because I don't think anyone has done this in SG before and I had a lot of hesitations. Which was the biggest reason why I only did the prop on the day of the event itself. I went to bed telling myself I’m not gonna do this nonsense but…. as you can tell, I’m a VERY fickle minded person >. < U And the project proves to be a killer for the video editor (fyi me). My program hung so many tiems while doing this=_=U

With Xrys who was cosplaying Araragi Koyomi from Bakemonogatari. My first victim of the day! *evil laughs*. Many thanks to Sakana for helping me with the camera! Super grateful~ ;_; From the video you might see a lot of scenes with me going all hot and bothered and screaming at some unknown target off screen. Let me explain my behavior, I don’t want to get mistaken as a raving crazy b*tch lol.
Basically, if you watched the complied clip, you’d have realise that there were actually a gang of 5 people facing us while we played the game. And they KEPT GIVING XRYS ANSWERSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The very very gamely Mintos and Envy cosplaying as Kagamine Rin & Len from the Vocaloid series. not sure which version they are doing though, there’s too many @_@;;
Anyway, they are the only pair that scored the highest without any external help xD I was really surprised at how easily they flew through the entire quiz xD!!!
The absolutely kawaii Shugo Chara group! I think I half forced them to join me hahaha poor things =X We had accidentally crossed path while i was on my way to meet another friend at level 4 when one of them called out to me and insisted on a photo with me (skip beat! fan yaysss \^o^ /!!)

So you've all seen the awesome PV inuran and Zerartul came up with in my last few posts. Now, get a change in perspective and look at the making of it!
To get the best footages, inuran and team actually re-shot everything 3 times. THREE TIMES OMFG!!!!!!!! Imagine, lugging your costumes, tripods, cameras , make up box, misc photoshoot stuffs out of the house 3 times on 3 seperate days for the SAME PURPOSE/SONG!!!!!!
These videos were taken on the first shoot, which was on a very early saturday morning. You'd notice the abnormally bad video quality and that was because yours truly totally FORGOT to bring her camera that day! I was supposed to help our Miku with her makeup that day so I kinda only remembered to bring the Make Up box and rushed out T_T.
Left without a choice, I could only film with my crappy mobile phone camera T_T. Very disappointed with myself and the quality of the video but.... oh well at least we have some behind the scene footages. Hope you guys enjoy it! Editing the video and adding those subtitles was a chore!
After nearly months of planning, storyboarding, filming and RE-filming. Our WCS 2008 Singapore representative; Inuran is finally done with her Love is War PV.
Pardon me if I am wrong, but this is the first full PV I've seen done by a local.
Gotta love the insanely high definition (imho la ;x) and cool special effects treatment. Of course, not taking credits away from our lovely leek heroine and her lovely costumes.
I'm pointing my fingers at her Megaphone dudes. Check it out! Love the perfect finishing and the accuracy of the colour.
